Using the MSD Render Farm

This is an experimental service with limited features and support at the moment.

The MSD Render Farm allows you to divide up your rendering task to be assigned to other computers; otherwise known as distributed rendering. The advantages of these are:

  1. Much faster rendering times as several computers are helping you render.

  2. Access to higher quality renders as the computers linked in the network run state of the art hardware.

Despite that, please note that there are still only so many computers available in the ABP faculty that are hooked up to the distributed rendering service. Therefore, please read the following articles to understand how to utilise distributed renderings and current constraints.
