# Bambu Lab Printer Open Access

## X1 Carbon + AMS

The X1 Carbon is a very fast and high-quality plastic 3D printers. The additional AMS unit allows the printer to swap between four different filaments.

Main use cases involve:

* High quality/precision models
* Multi-material prints:
  * Multi-colour models, e.g. perfect for diagrammatic models.
  * Composite models, e.g. PLA x TPU x Carbon Fiber models
