# Smoothing

For smoothing of 3D scanning artefacts or seam lines select the Tools Panel by clicking the `[Tools]` button on the left of the screen.

## Smoothing brush

1. In the `[Tools]` Tab, select the smoothing brush.
2. Follow instructions to change brush size and select areas to be smoothed.
3. Areas can be smoothed more than once and smoothing factor is better left at a low value to allow for fine controlled smoothing.
4. Continue smoothing until desired effect has been achieved, then select `[Apply]`
