# Manual Alignment

Head in to the Align Panel by clicking the `[Align]` button on the left of the screen.

## Manually Aligning Scans

1. In the `[Rigid]` Tab, select two layers to display both models
2. Move and orient the models so that you can easily select a unique feature shown on both scans
3. Select `[New Pair]` and click a matching point on each model
4. Repeat step 3 until you have at least 3 pairs of matching points
5. Click `[Apply]`
6. Repeat steps as necessary to align more scans (layers) one by one
