## Introduction

The Drum Sander allows for the fine removal of material, which is either deemed too thin or short to safely use in the Thicknesser.

## Two Reasons to Use a Drum Sander

**Small Components** If components are too small and delicate to be used in the Thicknesser (5mm thick x 400mm long minimum), the Drum Sander can be used to incrementally remove small amounts of material until a desired thickness is achieved.

**Fine Adjustments** Unlike the Thicknesser, very small amounts of material can be taken off at a time until the desired thickness is achieved.

## Materials

**Timber:** Dried Timber Species
