# Hand Saws

![](/files/-M6cLWfk4Ou02MBkEzVV)

## Introduction

The workshop has a variety of Japanese style hand saws for flush cutting, fine cross cutting and ripping.

## Great Reasons for Using Hand Saws

**Precision:** With a bit of practice you can make accurate straight or angled cuts that would be difficult with one of the machine or power tools.

**Speed:** In a busy workshop it can be quicker to make a cut with a hand saw instead of waiting to use a machine.

## Material

**Timber:** The workshop hand saws can only be used in solid timber material.
