Overview

The Wetworks Outdoor Area is a paved area of approximately 4m x 4m which can be accessed from the Wetworks area, or by walking around the outside of the MSD building.

Access

Etiquette and Rules

As with any of the unstaffed Maker Spaces, the outdoor area relies on those using it to maintain the cleanliness of the area. Please take pride in this work area, bearing in mind that it is an open exterior space. The Wetworks Outdoor Area can be used for a range of fabrication methods - please check with the Guru on duty if you are unsure whether your proposed activity is appropriate.

Rules for use

The following rules for the Wetworks Outdoor Area must be adhered to at all times:

  • Level 3 Inductions are required for access.

Working Culture

  • Be respectful of others in the vicinity - notify anyone nearby if you will be carrying out fabrication processes that might disturb others.

Packing-up and Cleaning-up

  • Clean up after yourself and leave the space clear from all belongings unless alternative arrangements have been made with Maker Spaces staff.

  • Remove all materials and personal items from the Outdoor Area when finished - the area is open to the outside so any items left are your responsibility.

  • Return any Maker Spaces equipment and PPE within hours of operation: 10:00am - 4:30pm.

The Wetworks Outdoor Area can be accessed via the .

To gain access to the Wetworks Area, complete the appropriate (Level 00, 01, 02 and 03) and make a booking with the Guru during Wetworks opening hours: 10:00am - 4:30pm.

Use (Personal Protective Equipment) when working with hazardous materials. PPE can be found in the glass cupboards in the Model Making Room, ask the Guru if you are unsure. Ensure that all users of the space are carrying the correct level of PPE.

Users of the space can use for use in the Wetworks Area, during ONLY.
