The Maker Spaces is an umbrella term for the 5 workshop spaces, or 'maker spaces', that are run by the Melbourne School of Design (MSD) and located in the Glyn Davis Building. These spaces provide students and staff with access to a range of state-of-the-art machines and tools and purpose built collaborative workshops that are supported by expert technicians. The Maker Spaces aim to provide everything you need to build your projects and improve your skills.
Each maker space provides online training specific to their equipment and facilities through its own dedicated knowledge base listed below. Before heading to these specific knowledge bases it is recommended to read through this knowledge base which provides information generally relevant to all maker spaces such as access and training procedures, the process to use external materials and how academic staff can integrate maker spaces into teaching and learning.
