# Using the Loans Portal

Watch this quick tutorial on how to reserve equipment from the ABP Loans Desk.

#### Booking procedure:

1. Go to [ABP Loans Portal](https://www.reftab.com/api/sso?email=a@unimelb.edu.au)
2. **Log in** using your university credentials
3. **Pick** a category and **select** the desired item
4. **Click and drag** on the calendar to make a booking. Note, every item has a time restriction.
5. If successful you'll see a little pop-up notification and a confirmation email

You need to complete this before loaning any equipment from the Loans Desk.
